Masonry buildings seemingly last forever and New England has its share of beautiful old masonry structures. Moisture, movement, freeze cycles, and sometimes physical impact can all create damage and wear over time. Remodeling and reuse may require cutting and modifications that necessitate repairs. Keeping these gems beautiful and in safe condition requires careful selection of the materials and proper procedures for their application to ensure the finish blends in well by matching the existing materials and will stand the test of time as well. This month’s session will help us make those choices and includes a demonstration of repair techniques.
