The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) is a national association of construction industry professionals including specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors, facility managers, product representatives, manufacturers, owners and others who are experts in building construction and the materials used therein. The mission of CSI is to advance building information management and education of project teams to improve facility performance. Our mission as a chapter is to provide education and networking opportunities to improve the quality of the built environment and advance the careers of construction industry professionals in our area.

The Worcester Chapter is one of two chapters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and serves the members in Worcester County as well as the rest of the state outside the 128 loop around Boston. Chapter meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of the month. For 8 months of the year these meetings feature technical continuing education topics. In December we host a holiday social event. In July we hold an annual golf event that also acts as the primary fundraiser for our scholarship fund. The Chapter celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018.

The chapter is a member of the Northeast Region, comprised of the CSI members in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and northern New Jersey. Worcester is one of 13 local Chapters within the Region.
