The following students were awarded Worcester County Chapter Scholarships:
Jordyn Brousseau is a 17-year-old student from Woodstock, Connecticut. He attended high school at the Woodstock Academy and will be going to college at the University of Hartford. Jordyn will be majoring in illustration and plans to minor in biology. His passion for both the arts and sciences started while he was in high school and he plans to follow a career path in art/design. His passion for learning and creativity has led him to pursue higher education.
Lisbeth Hoyt currently attends Assumption University in Worcester and will be beginning her sophomore year this fall. At Assumption she is studying to become an accounting major and business management minor. While at school she is involved in Best Buddies, Student Alumni Association, Women’s Club Soccer, and volunteers with Special Olympics on campus. Before attending Assumption, she graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg as a three-sport athlete. Once she completes her undergraduate education, she intends to pursue an MBA and begin a career in accounting.
Sophia Sullivan has an accomplished past, whether it comes to athletics, academics, or work ethic. She was a two-sport athlete (soccer and basketball) and was on the high-honor roll in high school. She is now planning to attend the University of Rhode Island this fall, with the intent to study Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Science. Her hobbies include hiking, photography, and biking.
