This program, being jointly hosted by the Worcester Chapter of CSI and Central Mass AIA, will tour the new Doherty Memorial High School, designed by Lamoureux Pagano Associates | Architects of Worcester and being built by a joint venture between Fontaine Brothers and Dimeo Construction. This new 420,000 square foot building will support an educational program for 1,670 students with spaces for Chapter 74 vocational programs including Engineering & Technology, Construction Craft Laborer, Programming and Web Development, and Marketing Management and Finance. The new building will also support significantly expanded STEAM facilities, including a Blackbox Theater, a Biotechnology Lab, and a Multi-Media Makerspace. With a construction cost of $240M, the new facility, which is targeting LEED Gold Certification, will replace the outdated existing Doherty Memorial High School from the mid-1960’s with modern teaching facilities for grades 9 – 12. This month’s program will take place on Tuesday, May 16th. Come join us!
