Challenges of Cold Weather Construction – the 2019 CSI Northeast Region Conference – will be held in Hartford on May 30 – June 1 this year. The annual conference is a chance for ALL CSI members from around the region to network, participate in technical education sessions and professional development workshops, learn about the latest building products, conduct a little CSI business, and enjoy a few social activities.
This year the host committee has put together an excellent technical program focused on the winter weather challenges we all face on our projects here in the Northeast. The building materials trade show exhibit will be open all day Friday. Our keynote, Rohan Freeman, will Elevate Your Expectations. Mr. Freeman is an engineer, mountaineer and adventurer. He has topped the world’s Seven Summits and trekked across both poles. He’ll discuss how to apply strategies that overcome extreme challenges in meeting client needs in the construction industry. Eight additional sessions on Friday will discuss cold weather solutions for building envelopes, concrete, masonry, site safety, winter damage and more. The evening’s banquet will feature an appearance by Mark Twain. Saturday’s workshops feature five sessions to help you optimize your marketing and branding with your social media and web presence, produce dynamic events, take advantage of certification credentials and manage the responsibilities of being an officer and leader.
The events will be headquartered at the Hartford Hilton Downtown and special room rates have been arranged for conference attendees. The full schedule, details and registration forms can be found at NERCSI.COM on the conference tab. Please make your plans now to join us. Early bird registration closes April 15th and reduced price hotel rooms are limited.
